Our Greatest Need for January is The B.A.B.E. Store. Please see below for what is specifically needed.
B.A.B.E. (Beds And Britches, Etc.) is a unique “store” offering baby clothing, equipment and supplies as a comprehensive program that provides tangible incentives to encourage families to nurture healthy babies & children. Customers earn B.A.B.E. vouchers by keeping prenatal appointments, attending classes, taking their children to get immunized and other activities. Participating health provider programs & county agencies distribute the vouchers to customers who can redeem them at the B.A.B.E. store for merchandise ranging from babay diapers to cribs. The important part of this exchange is that customers can come to the store with something earned & leave with something they are able to provide for their child. The B.A.B.E. store is not income-based & is open to anyone with ID who lives in Knox County.
The B.A.B.E. store is located inside St. John’s United Church of Christ
606 N. 5th Street in Vincennes.

Have you ever looked out in our community and saw a great need and been overwhelmed? How can I help? Where do I begin? I can’t give a lot of money!!
Our St. Francis Xavier outreach program is called “Our Greatest Need”. We ask different groups and agencies what their greatest needs are. These will be groups that help our community.
This is our way to help, with everything staying in our community
Please consider taking part in this opportunity. Each of us can help out in a small way, while our effort as a collective church community can bring about a large impact.
Each month we will collect certain items for a different local group. You can put the items in containers at the church doors. Thank you and God Bless!
